Lights
Unless you want to spend £200 or so, avoid dynamo systems. Battery light sets give good performance and long battery life now they all use LEDs not traditional bulbs. A set in the £25 range is probably sufficient for town use on lit roads. Look at the Smart range for mid-priced, reliable lights. If you really need to see where you are going (on canal tow paths for example) then invest in one of the powerful rechargeable front lights, such as the very powerful NiteFlux, often between £60 and £100.
